Well, yesterday was our free day in New York City. By all reports, good times were had, no injuries or arrests were reported, and everyone was where they were supposed to be at departure time this morning. Some of the guys have been to NYC many times, and for others, it was their first visit. Various groups visited the Museum of Modern Art, Rockefeller Center, The World Trade Center Memorial, Times Square, and saw some Broadway shows, including Kinky Boots, Chicago, and It's Only a Play.
Our hotel management said we were excellent guests (!) and that they'd be glad to have us visit again sometime. Will wonders never cease?!?
Though our tour was short this year, we sang for some very appreciative audiences, saw lots of family and friends, enjoyed the start of warmer weather, and still have a little time left to enjoy some down time over spring break.
We're looking forward to hosting the Penn Glee Club in Charlottesville on March 21st and then traveling to Mt. Holyoke college to perform the Duruflé Requiem on March 28th. If you're nearby, we'd love to see you at those performances! Visit www.virginiagleeclub.org for more information.
Next year, Argentina!
